Ira, Shawn and I got to chaperon a youth dance last weekend. we had fun and even got our picture taken by a photographer that was there for the kids. I looked scary, but Ira is as cute as always. The photographer even wanted to take a few of just Ira..either Shawn and I arent that cute.. or Ira is just irresistible....a few of the kids wanted their picture taken with Ira too.

It was a fun dance and Ira loved it! I followed him around as he worked the room and showed of some of his sweet dance moves.. the boy has rhythm.

I posted this small so you cant see my eyes very well.. they are scary looking..much better from this size. haha

Better Than Instant Pudding--Instant Grandbaby!

Ira got a new Grandma this last weekend. Grandma Dixie is now another grandparent that gets to spoil Ira. And he is excited about that. It was a big weekend for our family, having my Dad get remarried. I am excited that my Dad is actually moving OUT of his house, okay so maybe just for a few months, but still, I am tired of moving! I need to not get attached to the house though. I love it because I grew up here, but I know eventually we will have to move out and move on. Its hard to believe that October is already almost half over. The garden is dwindling, we have butternut squash, but everything else is done. We also dried some apples this week, i think we will try to dry butternut squash too.. what do you do with dried squash?? we are creative. Regan and Dennis found this wonderful fall leaf. love it!

Ira is sad that he has to wear clothes all the time now. he spent practically the whole summer in a diaper. He will definitly be like his dad, shorts and flipflops year round (when his mom doesnt dress him anymore. I reall yliked trying to wear Grandpas shoes. The house is really lonely in the morning with out Grandpa!

i still have some more pics from the wedding to show, but i dont have them yet. stay tuned for more.

Ira is getting ready

I can just see the look on my father in law's face when he sees these pictures, still, I just can't resist. I was at someones house and i saw this costume sitting on a chair and I just started with the wings..but then i couldn't help but put the skirt and bow on too. its close to Halloween...I am trying to decide what Ira will be, but Im promise it wont be a fairy princess Rocky.

In other Ira news, he is just walking all over the house and anywhere else we let him. I am sure he will be full on running by the time we get to the ranch for Thanksgiving. We are very excited to be able to visit. I have been praticing my pie making skills..I am getting the crust down!

Summer is done up here. cold is setting in and there will not be too many sunny days left. Ira and I have really enjoyed our runs together. Sure he sleeps through most of them, but he loves being in his stroller...as long as its moving. I got him a special hat to keep the sun out of his eyes. I love that he turns into a homeboy by the end of the run from twisting his head around.

This last weekend Ira got to help me take pictures of the golf tournament for the Clara Jean Foundation. His cousin John was nice enought to chaufer us around in a sweet golf cart. It was a great day. Ira not only got to ride in a golf cart for the first time, but he got to see geese too!

IRA SANDWICH

I seriously have a cute kid.

This week is Grandpa's wedding, there will be plenty of heartbreaking pics of Ira in his suit. stay tuned! Oh and he gets to FINALLY meet his Aunt Sue!
