Ecuador and the Equator

Well folks, the time has come for our adventures to be just about over. Ecuador has been exciting and stressful in itself. It took us about 20 hours and 4 bus changes to get to Machala, but we made it. It was very hot and we only stayed the night. We went back into the mountains in Cuenca where it was nice and cool, we statyed there a few days walked alot and enjoyed prolly the cleanest city in south america! We rode buses to every city, next was Guayaquil back to the super hot and humid, i almost died...not really but i got to throw up in a really nasty gutter. We were able to find lots of people that Shawn knew 10 years ago thanks to his friend Luis. We stayed there 5 days and even got to go to the temple there that was dedicated in 2000. Then we headed for Riobamba, our plan was to ride a train early the next morning, but since we got in late and were just tired in general we took the morning to sleep in and decided to head for Quito. We have been here for a couple days, got to stand in two hemispheres and in a few more days I will be on a flight back to the USA. Shawn in going to fly to Lima to cover for a fellow Chiropractor who has no one else to replace him, so he will stay in Peru for another two weeks before finally coming home.
Sorry I am not posting pictures at this time, I will have plenty to share when I am home. Hope to see you all real soon.
