a Merry Christmas

We went to the ranch for Christmas. It was nice to get away for more than a couple days. Ira had a good time too. He got to see some of his cousins and of course, spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Hatch. Kristi and I took loads of pictures.

Ira Roger with Great Grandpa Roger. I thought Ira looks like he is laughing and he looks so cute. We had a great time visiting with Shawn's Grandparents on Christmas Eve. Grandma Hatch made some good food and we played cards for awhile.

Ira doesn't keep his head up by himself all the time yet, so he had to borrow Dalley. Kristi bought these outfits they say "I still live with my parents" I thought they were so funny

Dalley and Ira played together...well atleast we discovered that Dalley really seems to like Ira, even though he doesn't get much reaction back.

On Friday Ira took his first plane ride. We went to San Antonio for my best friends wedding. He did great on the plane and great with the babysitter. That was the first time I have been away from him. I didn't cry. It was fun to be down there, even though it was a quick trip. Coming back Saturday was a little tricker due to thunder storms that shut down Dallas airport. Our original flight was cancelled and then the next one delayed 2.5 hours and then another delay when we finally got to Dallas, but we were lucky to get on an earlier flight on standby. We still got home later than planned, but earlier than what we were booked one with delays.

We got back to the ranch and still had a few days to relax. It is always hard having to come back to work and life. Holidays really spoil ya!

This weekend my Dad will be flying into visit for a few days. We are having Ira blessed on Sunday. It will be fun to have my Dad here for a few days. and finally get to meet Ira.

I also booked us flights to visit Vancouver at the end of January. I am so excited because we haven't been back since moving here. Shawn will be taking his Oregon tests while we are there and it shouldn't be long after that when he will get his license to practice there.
